Half a Billion Dollar Investment from Dubai to the North, Luxury Resort Near Hanimaadhoo!

One of Dubai’s strongest real estate companies, Samana Developers, has announced plans to develop an expensive resort in the Maldives in collaboration with the world-famous luxury brand, Elie Saab.

According to foreign newspapers, this $598 million luxury resort is set to be developed near HDh. Hanimaadhoo. The resort is reportedly located about 20 minutes from Hanimaadhoo Airport and 45 minutes by seaplane from Velana International Airport.

Announced during an event in Dubai’s Madinat area, this resortdinat area, this resort covers 507,651 square feet. The newspapers also reported that the resort includes 190 units, including beachfront villas, water bungalows, and poolside apartments. Each unit is being designed in the most modern way by the Elie Saab company.

Furthermore, citing the companies involved in the project, UAE newspapers stated that the resort will include a spa and wellness center, restaurants specializing in Arabic and Japanese cuisines, a diving center, water sports facilities, numerous pools, and a fitness center.

Moreover, it’s been reported that efforts will be made to focus on environmental sustainability both during the resort’s development and after its opening. This includes initiatives for coral reef restoration led by the resort.

While aiming to bring the resort into operation by 2029, both companies have stated that this venture will propel them several steps forward, and working in a country with luxury and high-end tourism like the Maldives will bring further advancements.

It’s worth noting that the Hanimaadhoo International Airport, located in the resort’s vicinity, is currently undergoing a major expansion and service improvement project. This area is also recognized as one of the least developed regions for tourism in the Maldives.
