The first phase of the “Haalu Kihinei?” program in R. Atoll has been completed.
This is a program carried out as part of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s vision to build a compassionate society, visiting households in all inhabited islands of the Maldives, checking on the people’s condition, identifying those who need special assistance from the state, and providing help to those individuals.
The Ministry of Social and Family Development said that under the first phase of the program, they have visited all houses in 7 islands of R. Atoll. This includes 60 households in R. Fainu, 74 households in Kinolhas, 173 households in Hulhudhuffaaru, 254 households in Meedhoo, and 225 households in Inguraidhoo, according to the ministry.
The ministry further stated that through this program, individuals needing special assistance from the state have been identified, and the process of providing assistance to these individuals has now begun. The ministry has also expressed gratitude for the cooperation received from the R. Atoll Council, island councils, Women’s Development Committees, and government agencies in successfully carrying out this program.
