In alignment with the President’s vision to closely monitor the well-being of citizens, the Ministry of Social and Family Development’s “Haalu Kihineh?” (How are you?) initiative has successfully reached over 17,000 households across 17 atolls, according to Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham.
This specialized program is designed to identify individuals in need of assistance and provide proactive support to families before they encounter critical hardships. During these outreach visits, the most significant concerns raised by the public included housing difficulties, healthcare requirements, and the need for financial assistance. Through this initiative, a new systematic framework has been established to monitor the living conditions of the people and ensure timely intervention and support before issues escalate.
