The groundbreaking ceremony for the Fitness and Recreation Center being built by the government in Sh. Feevaku has taken place. The foundation for the Feevaku Fitness and Recreation Center, which is being carried out in collaboration with Fenaka Corporation, was laid by the Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Abdullah Rafiu, and the Managing Director of Fenaka, Major (Rtd) Mohamed Janah. The groundbreaking for this fitness center was conducted as part of the President’s ongoing tour of Sh. Atoll. The President graced the groundbreaking ceremony for the Fitness and Recreation Center being built in Feevaku.
The purpose of the government’s initiative to establish a fitness center on every island is to provide facilities for sports and to nurture a generation that is healthy both physically and socially. The Fitness Center being built in Feevaku is being developed to include facilities for indoor sports, various board games, as well as a meeting room and a classroom.
