Groundbreaking for Badminton Court in AA. Thoddoo

The foundation for a new badminton court in Ari Atoll North Thoddoo has been laid. The groundbreaking ceremony was held during President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s current tour of the northern Ari Atoll islands. Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Abdullah Rafiu, laid the foundation stone for the badminton court in AA. Thoddoo. The project has been assigned to the Road Development Corporation (RDC).

During his meeting with the people of Thoddoo as part of his tour of Ari Atoll North, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu shared the good news of bringing many developments to Thoddoo in the field of sports. He assured that a handball court would be developed in AA. Thoddoo and that the football field would be upgraded for night-time use.

Furthermore, the President gave full assurance to the island’s residents that he would develop a handball court and make Thoddoo an island with available sports facilities. To create a healthy and fit population in the Maldives, the President has initiated the establishment of outdoor gyms and fitness and recreation centers on all islands of the country. In addition, as part of this project, work has begun on building courts for various sports, with the government aiming to complete these projects as soon as possible.
