Government Ramadan Gift: Cases of canned fish distributed to 48,000 households in the Male’ area

As part of this year’s government Ramadan gift, cases of canned fish have Ramadan gift, cases of canned fish have been distributed to 48,000 households in the Male’ area so far. Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Public Works, Adam Shareef Umar, revealed that the distribution of Ramadan gifts will continue tonight at the 13 designated centers. However, from March 11 onwards, the Ramadan gifts will be distributed through MIFCO stores. The Minister stated that this service will be available at 4 MIFCO stores in Male’ and Hulhumale’.

“Although the distribution centers have changed, the distribution will continue as before through the online token system. And this program will continue until all those who need it receive it,” the Minister said.

This year’s Ramadan gift program is a special initiative by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s government in preparation for the month of Ramadan. The objective of this program is to provide essential food items for breaking fast to the citizens of the Maldives.

As the Ramadan gifts are being distributed across the country, island councils are visiting households to distribute cases of canned fish. The government decided to do it this way to make it more convenient for the people. The aim is to complete the distribution of Ramadan gifts by March 10, as stated by Minister Adam Shareef.
