The Hyundai Golden Futsal Challenge 2026 has kicked off with great enthusiasm, featuring 12 matches on its opening day. In the Haa Dhaalu Atoll group stages, Naivaadhoo, Nellaidhoo, Hanimaadhoo, and Nolhivaranfaru secured victories. Despite Naivaadhoo’s win, the team faces challenges as several key players are currently unavailable due to national team commitments and injuries.
From the Haa Alif Atoll matches, Dhidhdhoo, Maarandhoo, Kelaa, and Filladhoo emerged victorious. In the Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll category, Madaveli secured a win, while the match between Fiyoaree and Rathafandhoo ended in a draw. Looking at the Addu City segment, Maradhoo claimed a victory, whereas the encounter between Hulhudhoo and Meedhoo resulted in a stalemate.
A total of 119 teams are competing in this year’s tournament, which is scheduled to continue until the 14th of next month.
