Shakhrom Samiev, Tajikistan’s important forward who scored against the Maldives in the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers, has been suspended for tomorrow’s match. He received the suspension for tomorrow’s match, which will be played at the National Football Stadium as part of the Asian Cup Qualifiers, due to accumulating two yellow cards. Shakhrom is currently the most crucial forward for Tajikistan’s national team among their players. The tall forward has played 39 matches for the national team to date, scoring nine goals. The 24-year-old player competes in the Uzbekistan League.

Tomorrow’s match between these two nations is very important for the Maldives. The Maldives can only advance further in the qualifiers by securing three points from this match. Heading into this match, the Maldives is at the bottom of the four-team group, having lost all three matches played so far and without any points. Tajikistan is in first place with a total of seven points. The other teams in this group are Timor-Leste and the Philippines.

The FAM (Football Association of Maldives) has begun efforts to prepare for the Tajikistan match and boost support for the national team. As part of these efforts, a children’s evening event was held on Friday. All national team players participated in this event.
