The Gaza government has stated that 1,903 people have been martyred in areas that Israel claims are safe, after Israel began ordering Palestinians in Gaza City to evacuate and move to these supposedly safe areas in other parts of Gaza. The Gaza government has strongly condemned Israel for targeting these areas with attacks, while Israel is urging Palestinians to move to these regions in central and southern Gaza, claiming they are safe zones.
In a statement released by the Gaza government’s media office, it was reported that since August 11, when Israel began forcing Gaza City residents to evacuate, 1,903 people have been martyred in 133 attacks on central and southern Gaza areas. The statement noted that 46% of those martyred in Gaza since that date were killed in areas Israel claims are safe. The statement further said that this deceptive action by Israel demonstrates that Israeli attacks are directly targeting civilians. The office also called on the international community to intervene and stop Israel’s actions. The statement warned that if the international community does not take any action, it would be giving Israel a green light to continue its aggression and slaughter innocent civilians.
In the past 24 hours alone, 91 people have been martyred in Israeli attacks on Gaza, with 45 of them in Gaza City. Since October 7, 2023, more than 66,000 people have been martyred in Israel’s aggressive attacks on Gaza. While destroying and leveling buildings in the city, Israel is also severely restricting the entry of food and aid supplies into Gaza. As a result, Gaza’s population is starving and weakened. The number of people martyred in Gaza due to hunger is increasing day by day. In this situation, the number of people raising their voices for Palestinian rights in different parts of the world is growing daily. Additionally, the number of Western countries recognizing Palestinian independence is also increasing. Consequently, Israel is becoming increasingly isolated in the international arena.
