
The foundation has been laid for the Fitness and Recreation Centre, which is being established by the government in N. Henbadhoo. The work to establish the Fitness and Recreation Centre in Henbadhoo was initiated by the Minister of Sports and Fitness, Abdulla Rafiu, during President’s ongoing visit to Noonu Atoll. Speaking to “PSM News” in a special interview from Henbadhoo, Minister of Sports and Fitness Abdulla Rafiu stated that this project is being launched to open fitness centres in all islands within the next two years, as outlined in the President’s presidential address.

The Sports Minister further stated that the fitness centre to be established in Henbadhoo will include an indoor gym and facilities for various exercises such as aerobics, as well as board games. The Minister added that efforts will be made to fulfil the President’s pledges to establish fitness centres in all islands within the next two years. The President and senior government officials who accompanied him on his visit to Noonu Atoll participated in the foundation laying ceremony of the Fitness and Recreation Centre in Henbadhoo.
The construction of the Henbadhoo Fitness and Recreation Centre has been assigned to FENAKA Corporation.
