Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullah Khaleel has departed for Qatar to participate in an emergency meeting of Arab Islamic countries. This meeting is being held to discuss the Israeli attacks on Qatar and the inhumane crimes being committed by Israel in Palestine. In a post shared on social media, Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullah Khaleel stated that important discussions will take place at the summit of Foreign Ministers of Arab Islamic countries organized by Qatar. The Minister said that discussions will focus on the Israeli attacks on Qatar, the crimes committed by Israel in Palestine, and the obstacles to regional stability. The Minister also emphasized that the Maldives will always stand with the people of Qatar and Palestine. He further noted that the Maldives will always persist in its efforts to bring Israel to justice.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed plans last month under the name “Greater Israel” to seize parts of Arab Islamic countries. This plan includes taking over parts of Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, and Jordan.
Although Qatar was not included in this plan, Israel has attacked Qatar, and Iran has also recently been attacked by Israel. Israel has been launching aggressive attacks on Gaza, Palestine since October 7, 2023. While Israel is starving the people of Gaza, the whole world continues to express concern about the situation in Gaza, condemning Israel’s actions.
