
During the ongoing inaugural visit of Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to the Maldives, Foreign Minister Dr. Abdulla Khaleel paid a courtesy call on the President. During this meeting, Foreign Minister Dr. Khaleel welcomed the Sri Lankan President and his accompanying delegation. The Minister expressed his readiness to work with Sri Lanka to further strengthen the long-standing close friendly relations between the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
President Dissanayake stated that his government would also continue the efforts to strengthen ties with the Maldives in various fields. Accompanying Foreign Minister Dr. Khaleel were the Maldivian Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Masood Imad, Secretary Fathimath Inaya, Additional Secretary Aminath Abdullah Didi, and Director General Aishath Fareena, who participated in this meeting.
