Ahmed Muizzu, Chairman of the Normalization Committee of the Football Association of Maldives (FAM), has stated that the committee’s work will be completed on time. Speaking at a congress held in Meeru Magu on Friday, Muizzu said that the term of the Normalization Committee, appointed by FIFA last year, will be concluded by the end of July. He added that by then, FAM’s constitution will be passed, and the election will be held and completed. At Friday’s congress, the constitution was passed. And July 26 has been set as the date for the election.
Muizzu said he is grateful for the assistance received from FAM staff since FIFA appointed the Normalization Committee last August. He also expressed hope that all matters concerning staff arrangements will be fully settled within the term of the Normalization Committee. Muizzu stated that FAM’s new management faces many challenges, especially significant financial challenges.
