An extremist Jewish group has entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest site for Muslims located in Bayt al-Maqdis in Palestine, and harassed and attacked Muslims. A large group of extremist Jews entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem and Muslim residential areas during a march held under the participation and protection of the Jewish army. The march was held to mark the beginning of Jewish control and settlement in East Jerusalem. Jews took control of East Jerusalem and subjugated the Palestinian people living there during the 1967 war. Jews celebrate this day as ‘Jerusalem Day’ to express their joy at the subjugation of Palestinian Muslims.
The extremist Jewish group that participated in the march in Jerusalem also forcibly entered a United Nations office, intimidated, harassed, and attempted to attack its staff. It was an office of UNRWA, the UN agency that provides assistance to Palestinian refugees. About 2,000 Jews attempted to enter the Al-Aqsa compound, harass and attack Muslims. At the forefront of this group was Itamar Ben-Gvir, the National Security Minister in the Zionist Israeli cabinet. He is an extremist terrorist Jew. While he was publishing videos of the scenes of entering Al-Aqsa and harassing and attacking Muslims on social media, Jewish soldiers and police were providing him protection.
Hundreds of Jewish soldiers and police were active in providing protection and security to the group of extremist Jews who were loudly shouting and threatening to martyr the Muslims in Al-Aqsa and the staff of the UNRWA office. Among the Jews who forcibly entered the UNRWA office was also an extremist member of the Israeli parliament. The Zionist parliament has banned UNRWA activities in Palestinian territories occupied by Israel. This includes the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem. Roland Friedrich, head of UNRWA’s office in the West Bank, said that among those who forcibly entered the office, harassed staff, and attempted to damage property was Yuliya Malinovsky, an extremist member of the Zionist parliament. She is an extremist Jew born in Ukraine.
While such marches have been held every year to mark Jerusalem Day, extremist Jews have also caused unrest and attacked Muslims in previous marches. They have also caused significant damage to Muslim homes, shops, and vehicles. Jewish settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem of Palestine are in violation of international laws. Jewish civilians living under the protection of Jewish soldiers continue to harass and attack residents of these areas. They set fire to Muslim homes and property, causing extensive damage. The international community has not taken a single strong measure to stop this.
