The Ministry of Tourism has granted an extended deadline for tour operators to submit their annual reports. According to the “Regulation on Providing Tourism-Related Tour Operating Services in the Maldives,” tour operators are required to submit a report for the previous year to the Ministry of Tourism before June 30th of each year. The regulation states that if the report is not submitted within this period, the Ministry of Tourism has the authority to revoke the license granted to that party.

The Ministry of Tourism has announced that they have decided to grant an additional period for those who have not submitted their reports by June 30th. Accordingly, the ministry has extended the deadline for submission until 14:00 on the 31st of this month.

The Ministry has stated that for parties who fail to submit their 2024 report in full by the end of this extended deadline, their current license for tourism-related tour operating will be revoked starting from that date. The Ministry of Tourism has further clarified that these parties will only be able to conduct tourism-related tour operating activities in the Maldives after submitting a new application and obtaining a new license.
