Significant amendments have been introduced to the eligibility criteria for applying for flats under the specialized category for government agencies and institutions within the “Housing for All” policy. The most notable change is the reduction of the minimum employment duration required for eligibility from five years to one year.
Additionally, the previous requirement for employees to serve at their respective institutions for five years after being awarded a flat has been revised; this period will now be determined by the individual institutions themselves. Furthermore, the Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA) has been officially added to the list of eligible organizations under this category. Of the 7,900 flats being issued under this policy, 2,400 units have been specifically reserved for 29 such institutions, including the Civil Service.
