The Minister of Education, Dr. Ismail Shafeeu, has announced that efforts are underway to launch the Education Sector Master Plan within the first quarter of this year. Under this strategic plan, special emphasis will be placed on digitalizing the education sector and providing teachers with specialized technology training and integration skills. The Minister highlighted that enhancing teacher professional development is directly linked to student progress and academic success. Furthermore, in collaboration with UNICEF, initiatives to develop the sector are ongoing, with plans to conduct training programs for teachers on utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the classroom during the course of this year.
