Fenaka Corporation has officially awarded a project to Dubai-based Definit Solutions to develop a new 26-megawatt power plant, aimed at providing a permanent solution to the electricity challenges faced by Addu City. Under this USD 31 million project, high-quality European low-speed engines will be installed.
The project, which was initiated following the termination of a previous agreement with a Chinese firm, is scheduled for completion by July next year. His Excellency the President has provided assurances that this initiative will effectively address the city’s power requirements for the next two decades. Furthermore, the President underscored the significance of having a local council that collaborates closely with the government to ensure the swift implementation of such vital development projects.
