Drones that were being used for exchanging attacks between Russia and Ukraine have strayed off course and entered the airspace of Belarus and Poland. Belarus stated that due to electronic jamming, drones that spread into their airspace were shot down by their military. Belarus did not disclose which country the drones belonged to. Belarus has informed Poland and Lithuania that drones have gone off course and are traveling towards their countries.

Poland said that a large number of drones had entered their airspace, and as a result, they had shot down all drones that posed a potential threat. They also mentioned that they had been given advance warning about the drones heading towards their country, which allowed them time to prepare. Poland is a member of the Western military alliance, NATO. This is the first time a NATO-affiliated country has launched an attack while Russia and Ukraine are at war.

Russia said that they have no connection to the incident of drones losing control. A senior Polish foreign official stated that the drones came from the direction of Ukraine.
