The draft of the 20-year National Development Master Plan has been completed and is currently in the review phase. This initiative, undertaken as a key presidential pledge of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, involved extensive public consultations across all inhabited islands of the Maldives to ensure community input. Developed with the assistance of international experts, all stages of the master plan are expected to be finalized by June this year. The government’s strategic vision aims to transform the Maldives into a fully developed nation by the year 2040.
