Discussions held to strengthen relations with Sri Lanka in the field of security services

The Minister of Home Affairs and Culture, Ali Ihsan, has paid a courtesy call on the President of Sri Lanka, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, who is currently on his first official visit to the Maldives. During the visit, Minister Ali Ihsan and the Sri Lankan President discussed strengthening ties and providing assistance between the two countries in the field of security services. They also deliberated on enhancing connections between the agencies under the Ministry of Home Affairs and their Sri Lankan counterparts.

The meeting, held at Kurumba Maldives, was attended by Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen, Controller of Immigration and former Commissioner of Police Ahmed Faseeh, Commissioner General of Customs Fathimath Diyana, and Commissioner of Prisons Hassan Zareer. As part of his ongoing visit to the Maldives, the Sri Lankan President has been meeting with heads of various Maldivian institutions. Additionally, the Maldives and Sri Lanka have established two agreements.
