The reclamation of 112 hectares of land required for the development of an airport in HA. Dhidhdhoo has been successfully completed within a period of 50 days. This project, executed in accordance with the pledge of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, is a pivotal initiative aimed at fostering the socio-economic advancement of both Dhidhdhoo and the entire atoll.
In addition to the airport site, the project included land reclamation for housing and various economic purposes. This development is expected to significantly improve transportation and connectivity for the residents of Dhidhdhoo and the surrounding islands.
