Defending champions Hulhumalé Veterans Club secured a commanding 5-1 win over Huraa Hurriyya Club in the opening match of the FAM Veterans Cup 2026. Dominating the match throughout, Hulhumalé Veterans’ goals were scored by Mohamed Ziyad, Mohamed Zoreef, Hussain Visham, Ahmed Muaz, and Nafiu Mohamed, who was also named the Player of the Match. Ahmed Naushad scored the solitary goal for Hurriyya. With this victory, Hulhumalé Veterans move to the top of their group, which also includes Police Club.
