The “Queen Anne,” a prestigious cruise liner owned by the UK-based Cunard Line, made its inaugural call to the Maldives today. Arriving from the Seychelles, the grand vessel is carrying 2,669 tourists and a dedicated crew of 1,235.
As the fifth cruise liner to visit the Maldives this year, the arrival was streamlined by Maldives Immigration, which completed all necessary clearance procedures while the ship was en route. The “Queen Anne” is a magnificent 14-deck luxury ship, featuring state-of-the-art facilities and an array of premium dining options.
To commemorate this historic visit, which was facilitated with the assistance of the Maldives Association of Yacht Agents (MAYA), a special ceremony was held. During the event, relevant Maldivian authorities presented commemorative plaques to the ship’s command. Following its stay in the Maldives, the cruise liner is scheduled to continue its journey to Sri Lanka.
