A cruise liner carrying a significant number of tourists has arrived in the Maldives. The vessel, named “MS Crystal Symphony,” arrived from Victoria Port in Seychelles. According to Maldives Immigration, the ship is carrying 587 tourists and 489 crew members. The clearance procedures for the vessel were efficiently conducted by the Seaport Division of Maldives Immigration.
The Bahamas-flagged “MS Crystal Symphony” is scheduled to depart the Maldives for Colombo, Sri Lanka. Providing clearance services while these large vessels are en route is a significant convenience for both passengers and operators. This streamlined process ensures that passengers can enter the Maldives without delay once the vessel docks at the port.
“MS Crystal Symphony” marks the sixth cruise liner to visit the Maldives so far this year. The Maldives remains a highly popular destination for international cruise lines, with numerous vessels visiting the archipelago annually. As the country’s popularity in the cruise industry continues to grow, the overall number of tourist arrivals has also seen a substantial increase. According to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Tourism, the Maldives has welcomed over 300,000 tourists to date this year.
