
In a message marking the commencement of the new academic year, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu emphasized the vital importance of prioritizing education and moral upbringing (Tarbiya) to foster a generation that upholds Islamic values, cherishes the nation, and demonstrates exemplary character. The President highlighted that the pursuit and provision of knowledge is both a religious and national obligation, calling upon all stakeholders to collaborate in shaping the country’s future. As the new academic year begins, over 77,000 students are enrolled in government schools, supported by a dedicated workforce of approximately 10,500 teachers.
