BML Launches Destination Campaign for American Express Card Members

Bank of Maldives (BML) has launched a destination campaign called “Experience Maldives” to promote Maldivian tourism to American Express card members. This is the fourth time this campaign is being held in collaboration between BML and American Express. BML stated that the “Experience Maldives” destination campaign has been endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI), Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC), and the National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM).

BML said that under this two-year campaign, American Express card members will receive special offers from various resorts, liveaboards, and merchants. They will also have the opportunity to easily experience spa treatments, beach dining, water sports activities, floating breakfasts, room upgrades, as well as local adventures.

Speaking at the ceremony to inaugurate this campaign, BML’s CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef said it was a great pleasure to partner with American Express to make the Experience Maldives campaign a reality. He added that under this campaign, American Express card members visiting the Maldives will receive special offers. “This campaign will further facilitate American Express card members visiting the Maldives to experience the beautiful destinations and culture of the Maldives with special offers. It will also further strengthen the Maldives as the most popular destination for luxury tourism. Moreover, along with the merchants participating in this campaign, the Maldives will be marketed as a popular tourist destination,” said BML’s Managing Director Mohamed Shareef.

Speaking at the ceremony, Divya Jain, Vice President and General Manager of Global Network Services, Asia and South Pacific Growth Markets at American Express, said that the Maldives is a very popular destination among tourists. She added that under this campaign with BML, they will work to promote the Maldives as a luxury destination. “With the partnership established with BML, and together with Visit Maldives and other stakeholders in the tourism sector, we continue to strengthen our support for the Maldives and the global travel ecosystem. The ‘Experience Maldives’ campaign, which includes special experiences for tourists, is a campaign that will provide premium and unique experiences for our card members and further promote the Maldives as a luxury destination,” said Divya Jain.

BML has previously held special campaigns under the name “Experience Maldives”. BML stated that in previous campaigns, American Express card members were provided with premium services, exclusive rates, and complimentary services to further enhance their trip.
