Bangladesh secured their first win in the SAFF Futsal Championship 2026, moving up to fourth place in the standings after a convincing 4-1 victory against Bhutan. Mueen Ahmed starred for Bangladesh with a brace, while Faisal Hussain and Kazi Ibrahim contributed one goal each to the scoresheet. Bhutan’s consolation goal was scored by Kinga Wangchuk. With this result, Bangladesh now has four points, whereas Bhutan remains at the bottom of the table with only one point from three matches.
