Bank of Maldives has launched its ATM service in H.Dh. Naivaadhoo. The self-service ATM was inaugurated as part of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s current tour of Haa Dhaalu Atoll. During this tour, ATM services are set to be established in 10 islands, expanding the service across the entire atoll. The ATM service in Naivaadhoo was officially launched by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. To mark the official commencement of the service, he presented a special commemorative plaque to the Naivaadhoo Council. The plaque was received on behalf of the Naivaadhoo Council by Council President Ali Rasheed Mohamed.

BML stated that the self-service ATM installed in Naivaadhoo will provide 24-hour cash withdrawal and deposit services for individuals and businesses, in addition to bill payment and transfer services. There is already a BML ATM at Hanimaadhoo Airport. However, this ATM only offers Maldivian Rufiyaa withdrawal service. The government and BML have jointly initiated the project to establish ATM services in islands with special emphasis to provide various banking services to citizens conveniently and accessibly, according to BML.

Establishing ATM services on all inhabited islands of the Maldives is a pledge of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. In line with the President’s promise, BML has begun the process of newly installing ATM services in 100 islands within this year.
