The Maldives Police Service application, “Police MV”, has been officially relaunched with an array of new services and features. The application was inaugurated by Dr. Mohamed Kinanath, State Minister of the Ministry of Homeland Security and Technology. The Police Service stated that this application, designed to facilitate logins via eFaas in accordance with the Maldives 2.0 principles, will significantly accelerate public service delivery and enhance citizen participation in ensuring community safety.

Among the newly introduced services are the ability to submit cases, provide evidence related to ongoing investigations, and report crimes occurring in one’s residential area. Furthermore, the application offers access to detailed information about the investigating officer and provides a secure system for direct communication with them. Users can also apply online to visit detainees in police custody or to request appointment as a legal counsel for a detainee. Additionally, the application allows users to check information regarding lost items that have been reported and details of towed vehicles. The platform also streamlines the process for applying for services such as Police Certificates and Record Clearances online, with the added convenience of digital download.

The Maldives Police Service further elaborated that this application will play a pivotal role in the digital transformation of police services, aligning with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s declared Maldives 2.0 policy. This initiative is expected to foster a stronger connection between the public and the police, creating pathways for every citizen to actively participate in establishing a safer community.
