The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has revealed that more than 450 parties have registered so far to participate in the workshop held in collaboration with Alibaba. The workshop is scheduled for today. The workshop, which includes question and answer sessions, will be held today at 1:00 PM at Barceló Nasandhuraa. This one-day workshop is jointly organized by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, China’s Alibaba Group, and Business Center Corporation (BCC).
Sharing information about this event, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mohamed Saeed, said that more than 450 parties have applied to participate in this workshop so far. This includes new businesses, entrepreneurs, online platforms, postal service providers, banks, and freight companies. The Minister said that this would enable Maldivian businesses, especially those looking to expand, to identify necessary information and resources, and facilitate opening seller accounts on Alibaba. He also noted that this would provide Maldivians with an opportunity to enter one of the world’s largest markets.
