Mohamed Nizam (Nizambe), the head coach of Buru Sports Club, has stated that the team’s objective in the Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League is to secure a spot in the top three. He emphasized that the team approaches every match with a winning mentality. Speaking after their 3-1 victory over Club Green Streets, Nizambe highlighted that rather than targeting specific opponents, his primary focus is on instilling a competitive spirit and a drive to win within his players.
Currently positioned fourth in the league standings, Buru’s main priority is to conclude the season without major injuries to the squad. The coach noted that while there were concerns regarding injuries due to the players returning from a long hiatus, the team’s overall fitness levels have been satisfactory thus far. He further mentioned that the recovery and return to fitness of key players serves as a significant boost for the team. Looking ahead, Nizambe acknowledged that the upcoming fixture against Victory Sports Club will be a demanding “tactical battle,” for which the team is preparing rigorously.
