On the inaugural day of Ramadan, local markets have observed a plentiful supply of all food varieties, with prices remaining consistently stable. Current market rates indicate that 100 grams of chili is priced at MVR 45, while watermelons are retailing between MVR 20 and MVR 25 per kilogram. Additionally, a bunch of local collard greens (Kopifath) is available for MVR 10. The recent redevelopment and opening of the market-area roads have significantly enhanced accessibility, providing much-needed convenience for shoppers during this peak period.
