At the official ceremony held to hand over the national flag to the athletes representing the Maldives in the upcoming Asian Games and Youth Olympics, the Minister of Sports, Fitness, and Recreation, Abdulla Rafiu, called upon every athlete to dedicate their full effort and make the ultimate sacrifice for the nation. Highlighting the sacrifice symbolized by the national flag, the Minister encouraged the athletes to maintain unwavering focus until the very end to achieve the best possible results. The honor of carrying the national flag at this year’s Asian Games was bestowed upon Moosa Munsif Ahmed and Mariyam Eeshal Misbah. Meanwhile, Amna Tazkiya Mirsad and Luth Mohamed Hussain will represent the Maldives at the Youth Olympics.
