
In preparation for the construction of a new 100-bed tertiary hospital in Villimale’, funded by the Chinese government, the transition of existing hospital services to the former Aman Hiya building is scheduled to begin by mid-month. To ensure minimal disruption to patient care, the relocation will be conducted in phases, starting with emergency services, outpatient departments (OPD), and vaccination programs. While final finishing works and elevator installations are currently underway at the temporary site, the development of the new tertiary facility is expected to significantly reduce the dependence of Villimale’ residents on healthcare services in Male’.
