The Israeli occupation authorities have announced a significant expansion project for the “Kochav Yaakov” settlement, located in the occupied West Bank, involving the construction of 627 new housing units. The Land Authority has officially opened the tender for this project, which is situated within the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorates.
The Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission has strongly condemned the move, describing it as a strategic crime aimed at isolating Jerusalem and intensifying the seizure of Palestinian land. This project marks the 12th tender issued this year for the expansion of illegal settlements. Despite these ongoing activities, the international community, the United Nations, and the International Court of Justice (ICJ) have consistently maintained that all such colonial activities in Palestinian territories are a flagrant violation of international law.
