Marking the first time direct air connectivity has been established between the Maldives and Australia, the airline will operate weekly flights using its wide-body aircraft. The primary objective of launching these flights is to further expand the Australian market, which is a significant source of tourists for the Maldives. According to recent statistics, Australia currently ranks as the 10th largest source market for tourist arrivals to the Maldives.
