The Elections Commission (EC) has announced that a second round of voting will be held this coming Saturday for five constituencies, following a tie in the results of the Council and Women’s Development Committee elections conducted last Saturday.
According to the Commission, polling will take place from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The official results are expected to be announced on the following Sunday. The constituencies requiring a run-off election are: B. Donfanu, Fuvahmulah City (Dhadimagu Ward), HA. Kelaa, HDh. Neykurendhoo, and L. Maavah.
Eligible voters for this round include those listed on the previous final registry, as well as individuals who have newly attained the age of 18. For further inquiries and information, the public may contact the Commission’s hotline at 1414.
