MTCC Awarded the Project to Develop a Bridge in Southern Thoddoo

The project to develop a bridge in the southern part of AA. Thoddoo has been awarded to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). The Thoddoo bridge development project was handed over to MTCC during President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s ongoing tour of the islands in North Ari Atoll. The agreement for the Thoddoo bridge development project was signed during a meeting held between the President and the residents of the island. On behalf of the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, the agreement was signed by Minister Dr. Abdullah Muttalib. MTCC was represented by its Managing Director, DCP (Retired) Ahmed Saudi.

The bridge development work has been contracted to MTCC with a completion period of 540 days. Under this project, a 430-meter long and 6-meter wide jetty will be constructed on the southern side of Thoddoo. In addition to dredging the harbor, the project also includes the installation of a 70-meter geobag revetment. The project is estimated to cost 52 million Rufiyaa.
