President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that, as promised during his previous meeting with the people of B. Hithaadhoo, a large football field will be constructed in Hithaadhoo. The President said this during his speech while meeting with the residents of the island as part of his tour to South Miladhunmadulu Atoll. The President said that the work on constructing a large football field in Hithaadhoo will begin this year.
“We are now building football fields and other fields with all aspects completed. What I mean is that previously, different aspects of field construction were given to different companies,” the President said. The President stated that this government is not doing the work that way, but rather completing all aspects including the sub-base, perimeter wall, lighting, and other elements. In addition, the President said that work on constructing a volleyball court will also begin this year. He also stated that the practical work of building a Fitness and Recreation Center will commence this year.
Furthermore, the President said that work on an outdoor gym will also begin in Hithaadhoo this year.
