Each player of Spain’s Real Madrid has been given 900,000 Euros as a bonus. The club’s president Florentino Perez took this action as a reward for winning the UEFA Champions League last season. Spanish newspapers also report that Real has spent 40 million Euros to give rewards to each player and official. Real had won the Spanish League in addition to the Champions League last year. While Real has given rewards to players as a prize for this achievement, the club is also the most profitable club in the world last year. As such, Real Madrid is the first club in football history to surpass one billion dollars in profit.
Real is also the most successful club in the Champions League football tournament. The club has won the tournament 15 times so far.
