Prison Club has won the championship of the Club Maldives 18/30 Classic tournament. Prison secured the championship by defeating Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) in the final match played yesterday evening. Prison won the final match 1-0. The only goal of the match was scored by Aishath Lams for Prison when there were 6 minutes left in the game. Aminath Fazla from Prison was named the Player of the Match in the final.
The top scorer of the tournament was MACL’s captain Aaziya, who scored a total of 14 goals. The Fair Play Player award went to Haleemath Hasna from Stelco. The Fair Play Team award was won by Health and Recreation Club. The Classic Five, or the tournament’s best five players, included Aminath Fazla and Aishath Sharma from Prison, Aazina Abdul Matheen and Firushana Naseer from MACL, and Mariyam Vishaya Wildhan from Stelco. The Player of the Tournament award was also won by Aminath Fazla from Prison.
