137 participants from the vessels of the movement named ‘Global Freedom Flotilla’, which was traveling with the aim of breaking the siege on Gaza in Palestine, have been sent to Turkey. While about 500 people participated in the journey of the convoy consisting of about 40 vessels, Zionist soldiers boarded these vessels and arrested a large number of people. The Freedom Flotilla or convoy vessels began their journey to Gaza in late August. However, before reaching the shores of Gaza, the Zionists obstructed the journey. Among those arrested by the Zionists from these vessels are members of parliaments of some countries, politicians, and activists advocating for humanity. This includes the famous Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, who advocates for the rights of the people of Gaza.

Some of the people sent to Turkey from among those arrested said that the Zionist soldiers treated the participants of the convoy brutally. In this regard, two participants of the convoy have stated that Thunberg was treated inhumanely. They said that Thunberg was grabbed, pushed, and forced to wear a Zionist flag on her shoulder. “They treated us in a way that even wild animals wouldn’t be treated,” said Hazwani Helmi, a 28-year-old citizen of Malaysia. Winfield Beaver, a citizen of the United States, also confirmed that Zionist soldiers treated Thunberg brutally. However, the Zionist Foreign Ministry has denied these allegations.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said that among those sent to Turkey are 36 citizens of that country, and citizens of the United States, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Algeria, Morocco, Italy, Kuwait, Libya, Malaysia, Mauritania, Switzerland, Tunisia, and Jordan. The organizers of the Freedom movement said that the number of people arrested by the Zionists from the Freedom convoy reaches 450. In response to the obstruction of the Freedom convoy and the violent arrest of many of its participants, voices are being raised against the Zionists in various parts of the world. Among the countries and cities that have held large demonstrations condemning this act are Rome, the capital of Italy; Berlin, the capital of Germany; The Hague, Netherlands; the capital of Tunisia; Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina; Sydney, Australia; Istanbul, Turkey; and Brussels, the capital of Belgium.
